Gladstone Hotel's annual Harvest Wednesdays Food Series is back!  Collaborating with the 86 Common Collective, this season will be all about feminist Producers, Makers and Chefs! For each dinner we will connect a Chef, a Winemaker/Brewer, an Artist and our favourite Farmer, Sherry from Chick-A-Biddy Acres CSA. Collaboratively they will come up with a delicious meal and engaging talk that will break through typical dining narrative and touch on subjects such as inclusion, sustainability and the inspiring stories behind food.

Our Mission

Harvest Wednesdays is inspired by the Gladstone’s long-time investment in four ‘shares’ of a local Community Shared Agriculture Farm, Chick-a-biddy Acres. By showcasing their local produce each week, Harvest Wednesdays sparks conversation about Community Shared Agriculture, eating locally for global change, bridging the gap between urban and rural and of course, enjoying seasonal Ontario produce, picked from the land just the day before. 

Harvest Wednesdays are a combination of my favourite things—amazing food and drink, the company of interesting people passionate about sustainability and an always-fun venue, The Gladstone. The dinner I attended last fall was hosted by Jamie Kennedy and it was a great evening. I couldn’t wait to get my ticket for the first dinner of the 2017 season.
